ELAYNA NICOLE FITZPATRICK
Mike and Suheily Fitpatrick are the parents of a beautiful one year old, Elayna Nicole.
Along with the typical duties of new parents, these two amazing people have had to carefully learn how to fight for their daughter's life. She was born with Dwarfism and has fought physical complications associated with Dwarfism. The first ten months of her life, Elayna remained in the hospital where her parents watched and waited for her to be ready, physically, to go home. One of the main issues that complicated her release was her inability to depend on a portable ventilator. After about ten months, God blessed her with the strength to go home, but not without limitations. At home, her parents have to maintain the same medical care that Elayna received in the hospital which required extensive training. Without expertise in the knowledge of Elayna's medical condition, I can only say with assuredness that the perfection to which her parents care for her and love her is beyond amazing; an example of love, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and gentleness. I have had the pleasure of following Suheily's posts on facebook, which are a testament to the love and support that Elayna further receives from a large group of family and friends. Thank you, Brenda Cortes, for introducing me to your wonderful family and giving me the privilege of capturing the love and the peace of this child which is a testimony to her wonderful parents and family.
